JUNO SHEN is a neon artist based in New York.
Juno’s work explores the relationship between humans and light. A graduate of Parsons, she studied Design and Technology with a focus on lighting and the effects of light on mental health. She began bending glass as a form of instinctual self-healing from a severe bout of seasonal affective disorder. Drawn to the physicality of the technique and the energy of the flame, she quickly developed an emotive free-form “tortured” style of neon bending that formed the basis of her work.
