For the Women’s World Cup, Juno Shen collaborated with NikeLab to create a site-specific neon installation that explored the sensation of athletic transcendence. Athletes often describe moments of peak performance as weightless, timeless, or almost unconscious, a brief escape from the constraints of gravity and time. Shen’s installation, titled XYZ, transformed this concept into an immersive experience, using mirrors and an infinity-light effect to suspend viewers in a glowing field of neon, evoking football nirvana.
